My name is Jona Sewell and I am one of the four Methodist Ministers who serve in the Newcastle West Circuit. The Circuit is made up of 10 churches stretching from the outskirts of Newcastle-upon-Tyne to Scots Gap 21 miles north in the Northumberland countryside and sweeping over to Heddon-on-the-Wall nestled in the shadow of the once mighty Hadrians’ Wall. The buildings range from the large to the typical, small village chapel and you are assured of a warm welcome at all of them. The services range from the traditional to the contemporary and we are working hard to seek a vision to make the church relevant to the modern age. There is a spirit in the circuit to pursuit excellence in all that we do and we are currently working to make all that we do an opportunity to encounter the living Christ.
There is a real desire to know Jesus more and to live Spirit filled lives and for our worship to be passionate and life changing. Our aim is to make new disciples and for us all to become more Christ like in all that we do and are.
